Quality trumps quantity. Focus on engaging with a smaller, relevant audience rather than casting a wide net.

Sending your emails to the wrong audience can result in low engagement rates, high bounce rates, and spam complaints, all of which harm your sender reputation. Effective targeting ensures:

  • Higher click-through rates.

  • More meaningful interactions with your content.

  • Better conversion rates for your campaigns.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Leave a review on G2 on the page of the product you’re using:

  2. After it’s been published, share a link with our support team via the chat

Segment your lists for more precise outreach

Segmentation involves dividing your email list into smaller, targeted groups based on specific criteria. Personalized emails perform better because they address the unique needs and interests of each segment.

Here’s some common criteria to use for segmenting your lists:

  1. Demographics:

    • Age, gender, location, job title, or company size.

  2. Behavioral Data:

    • Website activity, past purchases, or email engagement.

  3. Engagement Level:

    • Active subscribers (open frequently) vs. dormant subscribers (rarely open).

  4. Lifecycle Stage:

    • Leads, prospects, customers, or repeat buyers.

Clean and verify. Often & always.

A clean email list improves deliverability and reduces bounce rates. Regularly verifying and updating your list prevents issues like sending to invalid or inactive addresses.

  1. Remove Invalid Emails:

    • Use email verification tools like ZeroBounce, NeverBounce, or Salesforge’s built-in verification feature to detect and eliminate invalid addresses.

  2. Eliminate Inactive Subscribers:

    • Identify recipients who haven’t opened your emails in the past 6–12 months and send a re-engagement campaign. If they don’t respond, remove them from your list.

  3. Monitor Bounce Rates:

    • Aim for a hard bounce rate below 2%. Regularly clean your list to stay within this threshold.

  4. Remove Duplicates:

    • Consolidate or delete duplicate entries to avoid sending multiple emails to the same recipient.
