Brand new mailboxes, day one
A team came to us last week ready to launch.
Their list was done, the copy was approved, and the sequence was built. Sales wanted it live that week.
Then we checked their sending setup, and the mailboxes were brand new. No sending history, no reply pattern, nothing that looked like a real outreach inbox.
And that is where we had to stop.
I see this on calls all the time. Market, message, offer, and follow-ups get planned early. Mailboxes are created too, but warm-up starts late or gets skipped. Then launch day comes, and fresh inboxes are expected to send cold outbound right away.
That is a bad bet.
Warm the inbox before you send
A new mailbox should not send cold emails on day one.
